Every month Ms. De Biasio takes the time to create a special bulletin board for the CD Andrew classroom. This month she asked the CD students what they loved and posted their responses on her "Signs of Love" bulletin board. Thanks for all the hard work you do Ms. De Biasio!
Coach Charlie Rowe has designed a Facebook page to celebrate the accomplishments of our athletes and to keep you up to date on Special Olympics news and events. We encourage you to visit the page at https://www.facebook.com/TeamSouthwestCooperative?ref=bookmarks If you have trouble accessing it from that address, feel free to search for it under Team Southwest Cooperative Special Olympics. A special thanks to Charlie for putting in the time to make this site another great accomplishment of our students and the staff that support them!
The CD Andrew team is excited to welcome it's newest member, Mrs. Kern! Mrs. Kern attended Lewis University where she graduated with a degree in Special Education (grades Pre-K through age 21) and Elementary Education (grades Kindergarten through 4th ) with a middle school math endorsement. She later went on to receive her master’s degree as a Reading Specialist. She has worked the last six and half years for the Grundy County Special Education Cooperative at the elementary level. For four years she taught grades Kindergarten through 4th grade in a cross categorical/resource room. The last two and half years she was a teacher in the STARS program teaching grades Pre-K through 2nd grade. She is super excited to be making the jump to the high school level. Please give Mrs. Kern a warm welcome to our program, we are excited you're here!
