We had a great time at Konow’s Pumpkin Patch! We loved petting the farm animals! We saw a goat, cow, pig, piglet, llama, chicken and sheep. Then we sat, swam and buried ourselves in the corn pit! We stopped to eat our sack lunches under a large tent and then were off again to climb up and down a mountain of hay bales!!! Next, we went on a long tractor wagon ride. We couldn’t wait to jump and roll down a huge pillow hill! Finally, we took a bumpy cow train ride around the farm! Of course we didn’t forget to get a small pumpkin out of the bin before heading back to Kerkstra! We couldn’t have asked for a better day at the pumpkin patch!!!
We had a great PBIS kick off week! Oakwood practiced the 3B's inside the classroom, in the hallway, and outside on the playground. We had a lot of fun by having a popcorn/movie day, dress-up day, and some extra puzzle time with friends!
The Oakwood team had a great time celebrating the arrival of fall at Bengston's Pumpkin Patch earlier this month! Special thanks to our parent volunteer Anna for chaperoning this trip with us! The kids had a blast on the tractor-pulled hay ride, diving into the corn pit, soaring on the frog ride, petting the animals and much more! It was the perfect fall day!
It's kick-off time... PBIS kick-off that is! Our elementary classrooms are hard at work reviewing the 3 B's: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe! Be sure to review these with your child at home. Give lots of praise when you "catch" your child following the 3 B's. Great job K-18 and K-22! Keep up the good work! Check out some of our K-18 students practicing the 3 B's!
This week students throughout the CD Program will be participating in activities relating to the 3B's of CD! Students at each site will review the 3B's including: Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Safe!!! This year our PBIS theme is "Presidentially PBIS"!!! Please join us in promoting the 3B's by reviewing them at home with your child!!!!
