Room B6 is improving our language, reading, and vocabulary skills with a new activity this year called "Word of the Day" The team is using the DLM top 40 most used words to help improve our students communication skills. We practice our Core Vocabulary by writing, spelling, finding the words in sensory bins, reading books related to the daily word and many more activities. | |
Kerkstra Room 18 celebrated Halloween by carving a pumpkin, playing pumpkin bowling, and painting with our color of the month- orange! Room 7 had a spooktacular time on Halloween!! A lot of fun was had during our Halloween celebration this year. We kicked off our party with a schoolwide Halloween parade and the weather was awesome! During our classroom party, Mrs. Nicole brought in a giant light up pumpkin head that stole the show! We loved trying it on to spook the teachers! We played some cool games too like; "I have, who has?," musical chairs, bozo buckets, and even made a creepy spider crown. A fun time was had by all! Room 7 has anxiously been awaiting the arrival of baby Caroline and she is finally here!! To celebrate Mrs. DeeDee and her baby we were very busy the past month putting together our own baby advice books for her and her husband Jeremiah. We also threw a baby shower where we made bows for baby Caroline, had some yummy treats, gave Mrs. DeeDee presents for her new baby and read the advice we wrote to her in the books we made. It was hard keeping the party a secret, but we did it! Mrs. DeeDee loved it and so did we! We can't wait until baby Caroline comes for a visit to our classroom! Loads of Halloween fun was had by all! K-9 enjoyed fun and games during our Halloween celebration! A fan favorite, pin the nose on the pumpkin! Of course, our little perfectionists really wanted to get that nose in just the right spot.....ehemmm, no peeking!! And of course, no Halloween party would be complete without the toilet paper mummy game! So much fun making a big mess with the teachers’ permission!!
