Braun Rm 6 <3's ART therapy!!!!

Braun Educational Center has been able to offer CD’s Discovers Room 6, the amazing opportunity of ART THERAPY.  Melissa Ferriter (Registered Art Therapist) has been working with our students since January. Art therapy combines the process of art making with cognitive, emotional, social and physical skill development. The students in room 6 have been working on appropriate classroom expectations, safe use of art materials and explorations of sensory inputs through art materials. Our first unit focused on all types of lines and how they can be combined to make letters, shapes, or designs. We can’t wait to see what else  art therapy will teach us in the future!
