The students at the CD program at Andrew High School participated in a day of remembrance on Thursday, September 11, 2014, by discussing the events that took place on that horrible day 13 years ago; watching a video on 9/11; writing what freedom means to them; looking at pictures of current day 9/11 memorials; and talking about the nearly 3,000 victims whose names are on the stripes of the Flag of Honor pictured here. Students asked serious and heartfelt questions as they honored and learned about 9/11 across the curriculum. Both the students and staff gained a deeper appreciation of what it means to be an American after this day of remembrance.
