Next semester CD Students at Ridge will begin collecting items for their recycling center! Students and staff from Ridge School may bring in recyclable items and drop them off at the center which will be located in the Ridge teacher lounge.
At the end of each week, our students will sort and count aluminum, plastic, and paper items. Then the students will graph our progress.
The program will be called "Trash for Change". Not only will our efforts to recycle help "change" our earth, but the students will also be earning "change" for each item counted (nickel for each item recycled). At the end of each quarter, we will count our change and donate it to help protect endangered species.
