The entire CD Program started the new semester and "New Year" with a busy and exciting PBIS Kickoff week! The high school students continued the movie theme from the first kickoff event in the fall, by incorporating different genres of movies into the fun! After reviewing the expectations in all settings (classrooms, hallways, bus, etc), students rotated to the three different classrooms where they participated in different activities. In the SPORTS themed movie room, students played hover ball, foosball, air hockey, basketball, and even had a snowball fight! In the High School "Musical" room, students listened to music, sang, and danced till they dropped. Even the teachers busted a move! In the 3-D and animation room, students played animated games on the Wii, made crafts and art projects, and also observed a make-up demonstration by Mrs. Kellermann! Students earned tickets by participating in each of the themed rooms, which they traded in for entrance to the movie at the end of the week, as well as popcorn and a drink! It was a good time had by all, and a great way to kick off the new semester!
