Special Olympics Illinois hosted their Summer Games this month. Summer Games is Special Olympics Illinois sports competition with more than 4,000 athletes. Athletes can compete in 6 different events. The competion was held at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
CD students Zach Herzberger, Josh Martino, and Keishawn Wardell participated with Andrew High School. Josh won Bronze in Bocce Ball. Zach won Silver in Track. Keishaw won Gold in Softball Throw and 4th place in Long Jump. We are tremendously proud of our athletes achievements.
