This semester, the CD High School Program had the honor of having two interns. Ms. Kimmie Hollendoner was Mrs. Granato-Wagner's graduate SLP student from St. Xavier's University. She was in the classroom with Mrs. Granato-Wagner from the beginning of January till mid March. The students thoroughly enjoyed having her as another staff member and teacher in the CD Program. We wish Ms. Hollendoner all the best and she is now at another placement before she graduates in May with her Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology). Ms. Bree Granta was, and still is, Mrs. Pamela Nagy's field-based teacher from Illinois State University. She started the second week of this semester in January, and will be here through the first week of May. The field-based semester at ISU is practicum experience where the teacher candidate takes over many of the responsibilities of the cooperating teacher, and even takes over the planning and teaching of three instructional classes over the course of the semester. Bree will then do her student teaching next fall at another location, and then graduate with her Bachelor's Degree in Education (LBS1) in December. Many of our parents were able to meet both of these ladies at Parent-Teacher Conferences! Comments are closed.
