Mrs. Nagy's Junior/Senior English class has been reading the book Don't Sweat the Small Stuff for Teens by Richard Carlson. Prior to starting the book, they brainstormed all the different things that cause them stress, both in and out of school. It was quite an eye opener to the students to see just how much they are stressed. Also, they have been able to enjoy this beautiful weather lately by reading and having great discussions in Andrew High School's Outdoor Learning Center. In addition, they have been focusing on doing nice things for others and one of their projects focused on decorating cupcakes in ice cream cones and handing them out on Halloween for the rest of the CD students. It was a great experience by all: both the decorators and the recipients!
