The following poem was a final exam project written by a Classic CD Sophomore, Darryl.
Oh ancient tree how beautiful you are, how wise you are
On your hilltop all alone and still it gives me a certain thrill to theorize about days of yore
Before your leaves became crystals and your trunk now black with age
How you must love that aurora borealis that that beautiful shiny wonderment
Your long standing friend
The snow may soon melt away but Aurora Borealis is here to stay
The sight of this ancient beauty is like a real life painting a real sight to behold
If you’ve seen it yourself you wouldn’t have to be told
That beauty should be preserved and preserved it shall
In a painting perhaps, now I shall take a bow
