Students had a wonderful afternoon last Friday decorating bee and flower cookies for Bee Catcher Day! The theme last week was Safely Protesting in School. During social language group for the month of March, students learned about different types of communication. Passive, assertive, and aggressive communication styles were introduced and practiced through various activities. Students made drawings, acted out, and described types of candy. Ms. Mirabella, Ms. Castaneda, and Ms. Sorrentino even made some video examples to model passive, aggressive, and assertive communication. Sweet!
 There were also two Social Clubs this month. On March 4, it was gaming day! Students talked about their favorite video games, and played a Family Feud-style game! On March 18, it was minute-to-win-it day! Students interacted with some fun games like a glow-in-the-dark ring toss, pasta pick up, cup stacking, and more! Looking forward to more after school club time next month! |
