Congratulations to Tyrek Silas for being our CD May Student of the Month. Tyrek attends Jack Hille Middle School in our CD Discovers Program. He is in 8th grade and is 14 years old. His awesome teachers are Colleen Regan and Nora Bryar.
Tyrek has made progress in all areas. He uses his AAC device to communicate at school and in the community. He has increased his expected behaviors when presented with change or new activities! He attends and participates in academic activities!
Tyrek is kind and has a good sense of humor. He enjoys interacting with both his peers and staff members. He has a great attitude about coming to school and brings a smile to everyone who is around him with his infectious grin.
Tyrek enjoys eating, watching clips from his favorite movies on the iPad, and drawing on a whiteboard.
